Some Reviews from Amazon
I heard the author speak at the Literary Festival about Bombay Swastika recently and it kindled my interest to read the book which for all practical purposes is a true life story. The book begins with a bang and grips your attention from the Preface itself. I like that the reader is hit by so many raw realities, many of which we readers may be aware of. There is no place to hide from the stark realities of Bombay; even the swearing fits in nicely! Totally unputdownable!
Influenced by Agatha Christie whose novels are immensely popular in India, author has come up with his own take on murder mysteries. A commonplace corporate setting with twists and turns and a scandal brewing. There is no literal action but the novel has everything to make it a thrilling experience – adultery, lies, avarice and fraudulence.... An amazing experience
One of the year's best releases and stand out book that is guaranteed to hit the spot by providing some much-needed escapism, while challenging the status quo and sparking timely conversation. Gives an opportunity to see the world beyond our close confines, allow us to learn more deeply about the human experience, or simply offer valuable entertainment. Wishing author a thundering success!
This is a real page-turner. Couldn't put it down. The fact that it was based on a real story gives the work, even more, punch, IMHO. This is a worthy companion to Shantaram in terms of giving the reader a feeling of the realities of life in India. I can't wait for the Danny Boyle or Guy Ritchie film version.
